This morning did not start out very super for me, I went to bed last night with a headache, and woke up this morning and it was even worse. I popped a tylenol, (not very helpful, but oh well) pulled my trusty ice pack out of the freezer and went back to bed...it helped for a few hours:)
For some reason, lately, Odie (my dog) has been SO IRRITATING!!! He whines and whines, and I can't even walk past the front door and he goes crazy thinking I'm going to go outside. I think maybe its all of these crazy hormones. I asked Dwayne the other day if Odie seems more annoying than usual, and he said "no, pretty sure its just you." Super. Ahh well, I'll get over it eventually. I took the poor little guy to the vet this morning, he has these itchy little scabs all over, and it turns out he is allergic to flea bites. :( $78 in meds. Yay!
Anyway....enough about the annoying little bugger...The other day I sat down and read the introduction to this book,

'Pure Joy' by Crystal Wade and Arthur Burk. I recommend it to any parent-to-be, or parent. It speaks a lot on nurturing your childs' spirit, and raising their capacity for Joy. " The soul has a huge potential for different kinds of joy. For one person its making music, for another it is scoring a touchdown. The spirit, however, has the greatest potential for joy. There are so many facets of our spirits' relationship with God that are designed to produce different flavors of joy in our spirit. And this treasure of spirit-based joy is usually the most over-looked, under-developed of all--to our loss." This book has blessings written in it to pray over your child to develop and nurture their spirit, and bless them with so many different facets of joy, such as joy in obedience to the Father.
Now, I can't say that I understand everything, but what I know is that I want the absolute best for my baby. I want my child to know God on such a deep personal level, at a much earlier age than I ever did. I'm excited to pray these blessings over my child, and see what God does in his/her life.
I've also borrowed a CD from my mom, called Bach at Bedtime.
This kind of cracks even me up, I'm not a huge fan of classical music. But I'm so aware of the things that the baby hears and takes in. Whatever I hear on the radio/TV he/she hears as well. So I figured, why not some soothing, beautiful music. :) I plan to buy a copy of the CD myself and play it after the baby is born while it sleeps. Who knows, maybe it will inspire the little thing to be a musician. lol I also want to get a CD of songs of Blessings. I just need to find one.

The baby is now the size of a medium shrimp :)

(that shrimp looks rather disgusting to me at the moment.)
I can't wait until I can feel it move!! Some days I sit or lay down and just concentrate on trying to feel it. I'm only at 13 weeks though, so I know that it is a long shot. This Baby excites me like nothing else!! (if you haven't noticed lol) Well, I'm going to go and take Odie for a walk..I'm feeling kind of bad that I get so annoyed with him.:)
Tonight we are going to the high school football game, they are playing the Landrum Cardinals. Dwayne was telling me he saw signs out in Columbus and one read "Go POLK, De-feather those Cardinals" haha it cracked me up!! I got a mental image of this poor, plucked little birdie.lol (maybe I have a strange sense of humor) Anyhoo....I hope you all have a great week. God Bless!
